Biography at a Glance
Lowell has spent over 30 years in business in a variety of leadership positions at numerous companies in various industries. In addition to working with established companies, Lowell has also been a founder and advisor to Colorado-based start-ups. His most notable entrepreneurial endeavor was helping get Frontier Airlines flying in July of 1994. Lowell also gives his time as a board member and volunteer to local non-profits like Family Tree of Wheat Ridge, CO. After a long career in business, Lowell believes that it is the responsibility of all successful business leaders to give back to the communities that have helped them achieve so much. Lowell has chosen to give back to the business community and future leaders via the classroom at the Daniels College of Business.
Lowell holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Technology from Bowling Green State University as well as a Masters in Business Administration degree from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
Academic Positions Held
Lowell served as an Adjunct Faculty member from 2011 to 2015 teaching in the Executive and Working Professionals Programs.
Lowell was appointed in January 2016 as a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the Daniels College of Business.
Courses Taught at Daniels
Lowell has taught a number of strategic management and entrepreneurship courses to a variety of students. Courses include Strategic Management / Business Policy, Business Design, and Business Model Project. Students taught include undergraduate, graduate, working professionals, and executive MBAs
Awards and Honors
Lowell was recently awarded the Executive MBA Associate Dean’s Award in recognition of outstanding contribution as an Alum and Faculty of the Daniels College of Business.
Lowell spends his free time helping local non-profits like Family Tree and enjoying the outdoors with his husband Kevin and their Australian Cattle dog Leia.
