Biography at a Glance
In 2002, Andrew Daly founded Gore Peaks Investments, LLC, a private-investment firm that focuses on recreation, resort and natural resources-related opportunities. Daly was in the Colorado ski industry and was president of Vail Resorts until November 2002. From 1992 until 2002, he was president and CEO of Vail Associates, Vail’s operating company with six resorts in Colorado, California and Wyoming. Daly began his career with Vail as president of the Beaver Creek Resort Company and executive vice president of Vail Associates. During his tenure, the company more than tripled its revenues and profits through aggressive marketing, operating innovations and acquisitions, including Keystone, Breckenridge and Heavenly Resort.
Daly has served two appointments as chair of Colorado Ski Country USA. He also serves on the boards of the Vail Valley Foundation, Vail Valley Medical Center and the Vail Town Council. Daly’s dedication to skiing was recognized with his induction into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame and the National Ski Areas Lifetime Achievement Award.
