In the Enterprise Solutions course (MBA 4690), you tackle a real business challenge faced by a domestic or international company with a small team of fellow students. During a ten week period, your team will analyze data, apply business concepts and deliver comprehensive recommendations to your client company. It's an invaluable opportunity to put your business and team-building skills to work.

The stakes are real and the standards are high.

Companies that sign up to participate in Enterprise Solutions expect to receive high-caliber consulting services--and Daniels students have a reputation for delivering results. We hold you, the student, and the client companies to the highest standards to ensure successful project outcomes.

Students will:

  • Integrate at least two business disciplines (e.g., finance, marketing, leadership, accounting, etc.) from the Daniels core;
  • Integrate at least one Compass discipline (e.g., ethics, globalization/innovation, sustainability, etc.) from the Daniels core;
  • Understand and apply dimensions of product/market positioning; industry typologies, generic strategies, critical factors for success, economic, social, political (external), regulatory/legal, technological, and competitive constraints affecting decisions; and
  • Perform successfully as a project team.

Past Enterprise Solutions projects include:

  • Newmont Mining: Students developed metrics for measuring the community and environmental impact of Newmont's gold mine operations in Peru. 
  • Kaiser Permanente: Students created a business plan for obtaining corporate sponsorships for a new public information campaign.
  • Lockheed Martin: Students conducted a technological SWOT analysis of alternative power sources.
  • Deutsche Bank Global Commercial Microfinance Consortium: Students performed due diligence on microfinance loan applicants on-site in Cambodia.
  • Ballet Nouveau Colorado: Students completed a feasibility study and business plan for satellite schools throughout Colorado.
