If you need some inspiration to get through finals, just look to David Groth who works full time and successfully goes to Daniels as a second year IMBA student concentrating in business intelligence. Although he was previously out of school for four years and debating about going back, he says it’s definitely the best investment he’s ever made.
“It pays off- the people you meet, the knowledge you gain, you realize there are so many opportunities in the world that if you’re there at the right time you can take advantage of them and make the world a better place”.
He’s already made the world a better place by working as a presentation and communication coach at Daniels, helping fellow Pioneers compete in the Comcast Race and Case and Inclusive Excellence Competition. David has also taken advantage of the opportunities Daniels has to offer by attending three national trips to India, Cambodia, and China as well as a meet and greet with billionaire Warren Buffet.
If that’s not enough to inspire you-he pays 100% of his education by himself and continues to work as a petroleum land man as the energy sector is booming in Denver. He’s even in the process of accomplishing one of his goals of owning a business by working with investors to start a microfinance institute in Belize.
So what’s his secret to success?
- Hard work!
When he’s not busy leading a successful life, he’s skiing, mountain biking, hanging around town, going out with friends, and enjoying the 300 days of Colorado sunshine. He’s going to be graduating in June and we couldn’t be more proud to have him as a Daniels Pioneer!
Congratulations David! Good luck in all your future endeavors! Happy Graduation!
