September 07, 2015 |

Attention undergraduates:

The fall Secondary Admission application cycle is upon us. Do you have your materials ready and are you feeling comfortable about your secondary admission interview? Daniels Career Services is here to help! Below are a few tips to make sure you are prepared and ready to put your best foot forward.

  1. Résumé should be no longer than one page, have bullet points beginning with action verbs (no paragraphs!), and have no pictures or colored fonts. Read and re-read to make sure there are no spelling and grammatical errors. Résumé Example
  2. Cover letter should be one page with 3-4 paragraphs that are not indented. The header should be the same header as used on your resume. Be specific on your interest in business and in the Daniels College of Business and again, read and re-read to make sure there are no spelling and grammatical errors. Cover Letter Template
  3. When preparing for your Professional Interview make sure you know your skills, personality traits, strengths and weaknesses. Interviewers expect that you have done your homework and that you are making an informed choice. Be prepared to discuss your major, career goals, and why Daniels is the right school for you.

Schedule an appointment with a career counselor through the student tab on Pioneer Web to review your materials and/or do a mock interview prior to submitting your application.
