Daniels College of Business Jumps Ahead in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

U.S. News & World Report today announced that the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business undergraduate business program ranked 72 in the U.S., jumping up nine points, from its 2011 ranking of 81.  There are approximately 3,600 business schools in the U.S. and 13,000 throughout the world.

U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Business school deans and faculty (two at each AACSB-accredited business program) were surveyed in spring 2012 for this ranking.

“The Daniels College of Business continues to rise in rankings as evidenced by the latest U.S. News & World Report assessment,” said Daniels Dean Christine Riordan. “What really matters is that Daniels has improved its rankings from numerous sources that include recruiters, students, other college deans and alumni, showing the strength and depth of our educational programs. “

In April, 2012, the Daniels College of Business team placed first out of nearly 1,000 students at 25 leading business schools worldwide in the Aspen Institute’s 2012 Business & Society International MBA Case Competition, which challenged competitors to tackle a new case study and recognizes students who innovate at the intersection of corporate profitability and environmental, social and ethical issues.   In March, 2012, Bloomberg Businessweek placed the Daniels undergraduate program at No. 57in the U.S. In November, 2011, Global CEO Magazine ranked Daniels as the top business school in the Western U.S. and  Bloomberg Businessweek ranked the Daniels College of Business Professional MBA program No. 25 in the U.S. as well as No. 5 in the Southwest Region.
