“It is too bad for all of us, because the farmer is at the front end of the stream. We’re at the downstream part,” says Ron Rizzuto, a Professor of Finance at the Daniels College of Business. Rizzuto says that products that use a lot of corn will see the greatest price increase for consumers. Just how much product prices will increase will be determined by the percentage of expense corn is to the business.
