pioneerblog-johnritterJohn Ritter graduated from the University of Denver in 1972 with a degree in civil engineering and physics and decided to move to New York to enhance his career. Upon arriving in New York, Ritter struggled with the simple basics of finding a place to live and social connections. After his struggles Ritter took an interest in the DU alumni association in hopes of creating a group that could aid in eliminating the fears and difficulties he had when he moved to New York. Today the New York Alumni Chapter has become the model for other chapters with 1,200 members and 8 board members. Ritter has been president of the chapter for 10 years and strives to continue improving the chapter to benefit people who are standing in the shoes he once did.
