The University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business says CoBank will be the inaugural charter sponsor of its Institute for Enterprise Ethics.

The Greenwood Village-based agricultural cooperative bank “will provide significant financial support and active executive participation over several years” to the DU ethics program, the university said. It did not specify the amount of the support.

Also, Ann Trakimas, CoBank’s chief operating officer, will serve on the institute’s executive advisory board, and the institute will offer educational programs on ethics for CoBank employees, directors and customers.

“CoBank has long been a strong supporter of the Daniels College of Business and we are proud to be a part of the Institute for Enterprise Ethics,” Trakimas said in a statement. “The topic of business ethics is a critical one, not only for today’s leaders, but for those who will lead these organizations in the future. We look forward to being part of this important learning process.”

The Institute for Enterprise Ethics aims “is dedicated to helping executives, officers and directors integrate best practices for sustaining ethical organizations,” DU says. Dan Sweeney is its executive director.
